QUALIFICATIONS
Our ideal candidate will have:
- 7-10 years of experience in interiors or architecture and a degree from an accredited school
- Strong knowledge of the full design process including; Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Procurement, and Installation
- Passion for design and an eye for detail
- Familiar with BC Building Codes, local bylaws, and standards
- High proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and MS Office Suite. Revit is a plus
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with an understanding of managing budgets and timelines
- Excellent initiative, communication skills, and a willingness to work in a supportive team environment
JOB DESCRIPTION
- As a Senior Interior Designer at our client’s firm you will be responsible for driving exceptional design experiences for their clients. In collaboration with the Principal, your role will involve:
- Manage the design process, from concept development to project completion
- Act as a point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, maintaining clear communication throughout the project’s lifecycle
- Collaborate with external consultants and contractors to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery of high-quality work
- Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure the design intent is delivered
- Material sourcing and specification, visual research, furniture sourcing, and graphic and visual presentations, in addition to maintaining budgets and project timelines for multiple projects
