UIA WOMEN IN ARCHITECTURE |
The aim for the UIA International Women in Architecture Committee is to highlight the contributions of female architects to society, to share knowledge and advice, to encourage the young, and to foster camaraderie among women professionals and students.Congratulations and thanks to the five UIA Council members, one from each of the UIA regions, who have launched this effort: Istelianna Atanassova (Bulgaria), the group’s originator and chair, Natalie Mossin (Denmark), Rim Safar Sakkal (Bolivia), Pei Ing Tan (Malaysia), who led in establishing UIA gender equity policy, and Jacinta Kabarungi (Uganda).Thanks also to the many women from other countries who have joined them, to strengthen the global network of people working to underscore the roles and the influences of women in architecture.Thomas Vonier FAIA RIBA UIA President |
